This is our 30th Annual Show and Sale!

The show and sale features plants such as pineapples and garden style bromeliads which are generally easy to grow, require little care, and reward the grower with brilliant, long-lasting blooms and ornamental foliage. Society members will be on hand for questions and information on growing bromeliads is provided. Various bromeliads will be for sale. People shouldn't miss this opportunity to come and see the beauty of these plants even if they never plan to grow bromeliads

Bromeliads are like an old friend from High School who would be decked out in crazy outfits that changed with the seasons, you knew it they would be wildly colorful, intriguing, sometimes comical or exhilarating. You couldn't wait to see what she would wear next.

There's nothing shy about bromeliads like your old friend they have different needs for seasonal occasions. Some bromeliads want sun sparingly and do exceeding well in shade; others want partial or full sun. This plant genus comes in nearly every color, shape and size imaginable. It's a small wonder the plants have 10 Societies in Florida dedicated to them, including the Sarasota Bromeliad Society, which holds the biggest sale this weekend in April.
